Training & Development

For professionals with a heart to serve

We produce a variety of trainings from decades of experience that equip individuals to serve underrepresented communities.

As a previous Texas Counseling Association (TCA) licensure board liaison and current TCA immediate past-president, our Executive Director — Dr. Bacon — ensures every training is inclusive, collaborative, and mindful of diverse backgrounds.

Whether you’re a counselor, in a professional organization, or just someone who wants to help, we will show you what it takes to uplift the next generation.

Transformation in disenfranchised neighborhoods won’t happen unless we equip the individuals willing to serve them

A continuing education unit (CEU) or continuing education credit (CEC)

Best practices to directly apply in your workplace

A deeper understanding of how to better serve underrepresented people

Knowledge to increase skills and broaden scope of practice

With every training, you and your team will receive…

We offer trainings specifically for mental health professionals like licensed professional counselors (LPC), licensed social workers (LMSW/LCSW), and licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT) . Every training revolves around trauma-informed care, culturally competent care, working with underserved populations, and demonstrating leadership in the mental health industry. Mental health professionals in Texas are eligible to receive a continuing education credit (CEC).

Mental Health Practioner Training

our areas of expertise

Crime victims have experienced enough unfortunate experiences and trauma. For professionals who work intimately with these crime victims, we want to make sure you have the tools and knowledge to give them quality care. Trainings include information on integrated care models, how to inform victims of their rights, assist in their recovery, and continue to be an advocate in their communities.

Crime Victims Practitioner Training

About half of youth raised in foster care end up finishing high school. And less than 3% graduate from a 4-year college*. We support your efforts as a foster care service provider by teaching you college admission processes, financial aid opportunities, and exit housing options for your students. Our hope is that you empower more youth in foster care to graduate high school and enroll in college.
