Dedicated LPC Supervisor training for Texas counselors

To become an LPC Supervisor in Texas, you must meet specific requirements set by the Texas State Board of Professional Counselors . 

These include:
  • Holding a current, unrestricted Texas LPC license
  • Have held the LPC license in good standing for at least 60 months
  • Completing a 40-clock-hour LPC Supervisor Training Course as set forth in §681.147; no more than two (2) years before the date the application for supervisor status was received
  • Complying with the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) regulations

Dr. Bacon’s experience as the founder and executive director of the Parris Foundation has allowed her to secure over $35 million in grants to support underserved communities. Her leadership includes serving as Immediate Past-President of the Texas Counseling Association and legislative liaison to the Texas State Board of Professional Counselors. 

With expertise in interdisciplinary team training, Dr. Bacon has developed programs uniting mental health professionals, educators, and advocates. Her personal connection to the foster care system drives her commitment to advocacy, community upliftment, and collaborative solutions.

About the instructor, Dr. Katherine Bacon

The Parris Foundation is proud to provide both you and your team with a continuing education unit (CEU) or continuing education credit (CEC) certificate upon the completion of our Texas LPC Supervisor training program.

Certificate/CEU information

Currently, our 40-hour Texas LPC Supervisor training is $800. 

For those in need of financial help, however, a $200 scholarship may be available for experienced professionals who are committed to serve underserved communities.

For ongoing professional development, we also offer individual LPC-S continuing education workshops, available in both synchronous and asynchronous formats. Pricing starts at $25, depending on the length and format of the workshop. Contact us to get started.
