With over 30 years of experience as a licensed professional counselor, board-approved supervisor, and tenured professor, Dr. Katherine Bacon is a PhD-educated counselor who is fully capable of educating and inspiring the leaders of nonprofit organizations to reach their goals and accomplish their missions. 

Dr. Bacon’s experience as the founder and executive director of the Parris Foundation has allowed her to secure over $35 million in grants to support underserved communities. Her leadership includes serving as Immediate Past-President of the Texas Counseling Association and legislative liaison to the Texas State Board of Professional Counselors. 

With expertise in interdisciplinary team training, Dr. Bacon has developed programs uniting mental health professionals, educators, and advocates. Her personal connection to the foster care system drives her commitment to advocacy, community upliftment, and collaborative solutions.
